Better quality. I have 2 that cost me about 60$, neither work for the same reason. Battery holder and had dents from the light hitting the ground. Have to go get another flashlight tomorrow. It will not be a Mag, I am done with you guys. Poor design.

Why are you still making lights designed for alkaline batteries? They leak and deteriorate when not in use. Your warranty doesn't cover damage by leaking batteries, yet they are the batteries they are designed for. Other flashlights use lithium ion batteries that are rechargeable and don't leak.

Dear MagLite, Your lights are awesome. This little flash light somehow got into our burn pile. Found it after a week or more, the lens was melted, but it still works! It has now been stuck on for 3 days, rained on at least 3 times, and still going! I'm just super impressed.

I've been using these lights for over 20 years. I have had them freeze to the top of a car, dropped multiple times, thrown and never had a problem.

Maglite can no longer be trusted to perform in their 2AA battery lights. Don't waste your money or your life.

I had a Mag-lite on my flat roof for over 4 years until I got a new roof put on the other day. The roofers brought it down and it works perfectly, didn't even change the batteries. It sat out it the elements for so long that one side appears to be a light bronze color and the other is the original red. Great flashlight, they're definitely made to last and withstand all the elements. This light has been through rain sleet and snow and is still the brightest light in my collection.
