Thanks to my care at KOC, I can now move about my daily “business” without sciatic pain, which, at times, was all-encompassing and seemingly unending. I had developed a limp over several years assuming it was continuing issues with other arthritic hot-spots (had knee and hip replacements well as foot surgery). Despite therapy the limp continued, then increasing pain. One month after surgery, I feel like the person I used to be, able to stride normally and without pain. THANK YOU, Dr. Madigan!!
We saw Dr. Madigan to evaluate surgical options for stenosis and lumbar scoliosis. He answered all questions, explained surgical options and expected results, and pointed out problem areas on my MRI. He did not recommend surgery but rather continued p/t, stretches, and strengthening exercises. While this may not sound like a good outcome, it was because he gave us an honest evaluation and that's what we wanted. He listened attentively and we never felt rushed. Very grateful for his honesty.
He took the time to sit and talk with me to make sure I understood everything. He amazing doctor and has a very kind staff .
Thanks to my care at KOC, I can... walk again! All the praise goes to God and Dr. Luke Madigan. Due to Spinal Stenosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis I had become almost bedridden. Each step caused severe pain. Then Dr. Luke Madigan preformed a Lumbar Fusion L3 to L5 on my spine May 16th, 2016. I found him to be compassionate and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions, he even allowed me to pray with him prior to my surgery. My recovery went as expected. Thank you Dr. Madigan.
Was too afraid to do a simple kyphoplasty even after vertebra collapse. By the time I got a second opinion was too late. Have had complications since. Two other physicians including one at Vanderbilt said he was wrong is his decision and the reasoning behind it. Arrogant, ignorant and cowardly.
I felt like he didn't even listen to me.
Dr Madigan performed cervical fusion and laminectomy due to spinal stenosis. I have been in constant pain since then and have a very stiff neck and muscle spasms. Many months of physical therapy and several medications failed to bring improvements. I don't know if the surgery was performed correctly, but I know several other people who underwent the same procedure and had excellent results. Another physician called my condition "failed surgery".
Two hours is the minimum standard waiting time for Dr. Madigan. When he finally showed up, he didn't introduce himself. He was arrogant and rude. He spent a few minutes looking at my chart and said his staff had given me injections in the wrong place basically calling them stupid. I will never return to him and would never recommend him. So disappointing.
Dr. Madigan performed a laminectopy and disectomy on L2 thru L5 with disc correction at L5. Post surgery I am completely pain free and back to work in only two weeks, with restrictions of course. It's been 3 years living with constant back pain and it will take some time getting used to not having that pain there. I'm smiling all the time now. Thanks Dr. Madigan
