We used LPL through the Halifax Conveyancing service for our recent property sale and purchase. We had got quotes through Halifax, and some local ones via the agents. LPL were considerably cheaper by more than half. The agent attempted to discourage us from using LPL however I dont believe you can ever guarantee a good service even if you pay more so I decided to go with LPL. Charley and team were great to work with and helped to resolve a number of tricky matters on our sale and purchase. When it came to the final mad dash to get everything done, Charley made sure it all happened and went out of his way to see the sale over the line.
Absolutely awful company when buying my house. Inept solicitor who wouldn’t respond for days sometimes weeks then was off sick and nobody took over. Was a horrible stressful experience. Wrote a complaint that was dismissed and made out it was my fault. Would never recommend Amendment: you say you cannot locate me. Well my name has not changed and I made a formal complaint. The worst service I have ever experienced and a complete disregard to solving issues tells you everything. Everyone please please avoid.
Absolute Disaster. Don't go anywhere near them. We had a really simple purchase. It took ages and the charges were unreasonable. £750 for a 10 min video call! We queried the final bill and they didn't even acknowledge or take our concerns seriously. A year on we realise they didn't pay the stamp duty on time and now HMRC are chasing us for late penalties and interest. The after sales care is appalling. PLEASE DONT USE THEM!!!
