Now, the rest of the story. After my 4th trip to buy a garbage disposal and install, I check out and ask for my 10 % discount that we are entitled too as a “card customer”. The account is in my wife’s name and I provide her personal info. The register clerk (very nice) has to call a supervisor. The supervisor has to call a home office supervisor to apply the discount. My sister and I just had a great experience. People always comment on the bad and never the good. There was a young man by the name of Shawn that helped us pick up a special order on counter tops. That was not his department but you would not have known that because he was so helpful and friendly.
Customer service has completely gone down hill at this store over the past couple of years. I used to drive past the Washington Lowe’s just to come here because they were so helpful. I have spent numerous dollars renovating a house over the past couple years from this store alone and the service lately has been frustrating. Lack of knowledge and finding anyone willing to actually help is scarce.
Every time I have a delivery something is screwed up. I have yet to have a smooth experience with Wheeling Lowe’s. When you call to have something resolved, it’s always the same “we’ll have to call you back.” Just had a new tractor delivered and it won’t start. Has fuel, oil, and all wires connected. No owner’s manual either. Home Depot will get my business from now on.
The workers are great and I'm not just saying that because I work there, I'm saying it because they all make anyone and everyone feel comfortable and we do everything we can to help our customers. Not to mention all the great deals!
Had a terrible experience trying to purchase a dishwasher. Had to replace one that was 2 years old. Luckily under warranty, but the service and check out process to get it replaced was long. There didn’t seem to be anyone who could actually help other than a manager. Then an item rang up wrong at check out. Another 15 minute ordeal.
Is a very friendly and vey customer oriented!!! I prefer this Lowes over any other one!!!
wheeling Lowes is the most frustrating store! They won't answer the phone. Had to call the manager to see if they had what I needed, after 5 attempts to call the tool dept. At least, the lumber dept. will still help you.
