Excellent Vet I have been bringing my animals to Long Lake animal hospital for over 15 years. For those that have complained, you are going to a vet what do you expect the office to smell like? My dog of a lifetime developed cancer (osteosarcoma) at 2 years old. Dr. H diagnosed this 100% correct in his office by an x-ray. Since he was experienced and knew what he was looking at, his referral to a specialist allowed me to have 3 extra loving years with my pet! WHO CARES about decor This place has the BEST prices in .. well the best I have ever heard of ... fancy sitting areas COST US the consumer... In these hard economic times, I would rather BE THANKFUL I can afford to take my animal to the vet ... then to worry about what the sitting area looks like ... Kudos to LONG LAKE ANIMAL HOSPITAL for caring .... I for one am willing to wait a little longer or sit in a not so updated sitting area... for GREAT loving and affordable care for my pets ...
This is where i take my babies! I had to smile when i read one of the reviews below that mentioned the outdated decor and the demeanor of Dr. Havas at times. If you want a fancy updated office and a calm atmosphere where you and your pet feel super special like the only ones who deserve attention, this is not the place for you. Anita G I have been going to Dr. Havas with my animals well over 20+years! He and his staff has always been great. I have always taken my animals there to get them fixed and shots. Nobody can beat the prices they charge. They are very caring people there!
First Impression I have to say at first I did not feel good coming here a staff member who apparently had no stress management skills was very rude and disrespectful to people. Upon my second visit they were short staffed and the one person running the desk was visibly stressed but was very nice and showed respect to everyone. Yes the wait is long but it's well worth it. Michigan Dachshund Rescue-Debra Boucher I operate the Michigan Dachshund Rescue. I presently have 7 dogs. Four are mine the rest are rescues. I have been taking them to Long Lake Animal Hospital about 10 years. Dr. H and the staff have been wonderful. There prices are what I can afford, because I personally fund the rescue. Very happy I took my puppy in for shots, and neuter. Everyone arrived at the same time (about 20 other families), and we filled out paperwork. Then, a lady called us one at a time, checked our paperwork and then took our pet back. I left, and came back when they called me later that afternoon.
Great Vet I have been taking my pets to Dr. Havas since 1972, when I first moved to Troy. He has saved the lives of at least 3 of my cats, even meeting me at his office on a Sunday afternoon. I have since moved to Shelby Twp, but continue to make the trip to Dr. Havas. I have noticed that the sparkle in his eyes and his energy are fading lately, but that's because he works tirelessly to give the best care to my pets at the most affordable prices. I'm VERY Happy to Recommend Dr. Havas! I've been bringing our two family dogs to Dr. Havas for a good few years now and I am very grateful for the excellent care and value provided by Dr. Havas and his staff. I'm not emotionally needy and I (and my pets) don't need a vet to spend a bunch of time pointlessly chatting with me to keep me mollified.
