Located along the Lockport section of the Erie Canal, this amazing underground boat ride is unique. Using a custom-built flat-bottom boat, visitors go on a half-mile trip through a man-made hydraulic raceway cut out of solid rock, the work of 19th-century genius Birdsill Holly— the man who gave the world the fire hydrant and zoned steam heat. Accompanied by a guide and trained operators, the 1 1/4-hour ride is thrilling and perfectly safe.

Very interesting, our guide Paige was great. A unique tour, I recommend it!
Awesome! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided an in-depth understanding of the history of Lockport and the Erie Canal. It was amazing to actually see the locks in action for boats passing through!

Michael, we're happy to hear you enjoyed your tour!
Paige was knowledgeable and a fun tour guide. She kept the crowd together, was energetic, had an appropriate loud voice, and a big part of our positive experience.
This establishment denied entrance on the underground cave tour to my husbands service dog. The staff said serval times it was a policy of the owners- this is against ADA guidelines- my suggestion would be to educate and know what a service dog does and where they can go!!!! A totally great experience ruined by a lack of knowledge.
Our tour guide, Paige, kept us informed and entertained with the history of the canal and cave. Great job Paige. I have already told Fb friends this should go on their bucket lists.

We are from Rockford, IL and this place popped up when I searched for things to do around the falls. My family range in age from 60 to 3 years old and we all enjoyed the tour of the locks and cave. I felt like we got exactly what we paid for. We walked to the locks and got to see them in action as boats were on their way down the locks. Our tour guide Paige was awesome as she made it fun for all to enjoy the experience. Once inside the cave it was really mind blowing to learn how and why it was made. Quick boat ride down to ... read more

Paige was informative and upbeat and exciting on the trip through the cave and the boat ride was quite an experience. There was love and good luck all around! Don't miss this one.
