I did not know of loandepot prior to my experience. I researched and saw they had great reviews. My experience was great. They assisted me through the whole process, we're able to retrieve some of the documents themselves through new technology, and they were always responsive to my emails. They were true to their word in the time to process the loan and the loan amount. I am very happy with the whole process and we'll use them again in the future when the need arises. I will probably recommend them.

I got a mortgage with LoanDepot on my rental property and they had set up an escrow account. I assumed it would pay for all my taxes, Little did I know, the supplement **** wasn't paid and I was hit with a 10% penalty from the city. They said it was part of my responsibility to make this payment. I wish it was clearly communicated to me. Customer service was not helpful. The total penalties cost me over $1,000.
