BAIT & SWITCH COMPANY I thought that I was working with a wonderful company until LoanDepot tried an incredible bait and switch. The bait was the origination and initial estimates, which I knew would change but was assured that it would not be significant. As the process continued things began change. Without explanation, points had to be paid. Then, the escrow doubled so that it was not just for the balance of the year, but an entire year.
