watch the small print. I got poor service on one of my rentals. L&S failed to pay a ground rent bill or forward it on to me and I not only got hit with late charges and a court fee - they also had the nerve to charge me a cancellation fee! Like many agents they are good until something goes wrong.
Avoid raised boiler issue and was told " you can sort it yourself" two days later the boiler broke after spending the afternoon at hospital. Countless other issues with the house taking forever to sort, scaffolding left up for weeks banging in the wind. Won't return phone calls. I could go on. As said previously, avoid. How these people have a decent feedback rating is a mystery .the fact they don't respond to the negative comments tells you all you need to know about their arrogance.
When we first moved in we were greeted with a broken oven, a broken shower, plenty of damaged furniture and a broken TV. We had to jump through hoops to get these fixed. We’re not sure what checks (if any) Linley and Simpson did between the last tenants and us moving in. We dealt with a frail, bald man (think he was called Matt). I had a walk in viewing with Jade who was really friendly and accommodating - would highly recommend!
Be ready to be scammed! We paid £1000 as deposit for the flat we rented in the city centre. And there’s not a single penny that they are returning to us. You wouldn’t even believe the kind of things they make up to keep your money. If you are taking a place from them, be ready to make a hole in your pocket! They are not going to returning a single penny of your deposit!
