I put together a Precision Guitar LP Jr. a couple of years ago, [one P-90] and the finish turned out extremely well, and the baseball-bat size neck fit me just fine. Awesome. I spoke with Lindy on the phone and he was really helpful with selecting my pickups, and got me the specs I needed for shopping online. He was very enthusiastic and kept the process upbeat and fun. I will definitely work with them again.
I'm using Sunbucker & Alnico polepiece P90. These are so beautiful sound. Good attack,harmonix and sustain.
I recently picked up an Epiphone Dot after trying every Gibson ES-335 in my local guitar store. The Dot honestly played as well as the Gibsons at a fraction of the price. The stock pickups, of course, we seriously lacking. I had Lindy send me some underwound Pure PAF's and after a 60 minute install, this guitar is just phenomenal. I live in Minnesota, when I called, their customer service was top notch. Once I received my new pickups (split jazz) and had it installed......wow. Just wow. I love the sound, the quality, and the diversity of tone. By far my all time favorite bass.
Finally got around to installing Lindy's Pure PAF humbuckers and I couldn't be happier. They updated the sound of my '91 LP Classic, with sweet highs and crunchy lows, a great balance between neck and bridge pickups, and endless sustain. Lindy spoke with me by phone to understand what I wanted to do and provided great help on how to set up a coil tap in the LP as well. Lindy offers amazing sounding boutique pickups with personalized service. Highly recommend his pickups!
