My Wife and I recently had to sell my Mother in Laws home to pay for her care home fees. She has dementia but very conscious of the fact she no longer lives at home which is a huge source of stress. We sold the house using Power of Attorney status, but we’re so disappointed that when the sale went through after 5 months of “secrecy” some moron at Lightfoots wrote to mother in law at her care home address congratulating her on the sale of her home, and requesting she leaves a review on trust pilot. A friend highly recommended this legal firm, praising the solicitor as exceptional. Unfortunately, my own experience was far from satisfactory due to an encounter with a staff member named Katy. Her behavior was unprofessional and discourteous, which completely eroded my confidence in the firm. I sincerely hope the management addresses this issue by providing her with appropriate training.
