I have been so impressed with LCHS during the adoption process. We were so happily surprised to hear that this organization was vested in ensuring our new kitten was as healthy and as happy as can be. These folks want to make sure that adoptions are successful -- not just get their animals out and off their list. They are dedica... read more
I love all of the hard work the Humane Society does to save lives in Leon County. Keep it up and thank you!
They were amazing and we found our perfect baby!! She is amazing and great with other dogs and kids. The staff was very informative and listened to what we were looking for. They never tried to press any other animal into and instead let us decide while assisting the best they could. THANK YOU!!
Everyone working there is kind and caring towards the animals. They help even after adoption. My friend made an adoption though them and the dog was perfect. LCHS helped and made the adoption process easy for her. After she look Lucy home, LCHS kept in touch to help her and Lucy settle in. This shelter is always willing to help even after the animals are not in their care anymore. She had a good experience and someday i hope to adopt from them also.

My children got involved with LCHS in middle school and were able to fulfill their volunteer requirements for Bright Futures. They are now college grads, so we have a long-term perspective on how LCHS functions . As a result of our relationship, we ended up with five amazing cats an... read more
