Been with this practice eighteen years. Noticeable deteriorating service in last 2 - 3. Not sure whether it's NHS systems being overstretched or faulty or the practice staff to blame. Husband has complained they have messed up his repeat prescriptions a couple of times. Used to be able to get a GP appt of some sort in a week, maybe two. Now it's almost impossible to get one inside 3 weeks, not even a telephone call. I'm recuperating from complex foot surgery. I afraid to say that this practice has gone woefully downhill in the last couple of years since two partners retired. Impossible to get any appt within 3 weeks, telephone or face to face. Even if you have no favourite doctor there's nothing available. Advice over the phone even if you say it's an emergency can be quite poor. I'm recovering from quite complex surgery in January and the GP follow up and coordination with my consultant regarding pain relief for me has been utterly shambolic.
