My boyfriend took me here on a romantic night out. Neither of us living in Philly, we didn't know much about the restaurant but he took a chance on it because it is Italian from the Abruzzo region, and therefore would certainly have my favorite wine if nothing else. We were delighted with all of our courses (shared appetizer, individual entrees, and shared dessert) and all of our questions were indulged by our gracious host. First time at Le Virtu. Definitely plan on returning. Menu had spot on examples of the food I grew up with. From the arrosticini, cacio e ove, to the Scrippelle and Tagliatelle , the experience was "cucina Abruzzese."

Nonna style with creative and flavorful Abruzzo, Italy, regional dishes. Fish, seafood, pork, beef, lamb, homemade pastas and incredible desserts.
