Eh – Yeah, it's a huge slice of pizza for $2. It's not an original idea. If you live in the neighborhood, and you have $3 for a meal, a slice and a can of soda is the way to go. But the pizza just isn't all that good. It is indeed a huge slice, but a little heavy on the cheese, and by time you're towards the end, it's not hot anymore and the cheese makes it way too chewy. Service isn't anything special, either.
good 2 bucks spent! – Ok. I accidently walked into their place and had to buy a slice after i see another guy walked out w/ a huge slice in his hands. MAH GAWD!! It tasted as good as it looks. The sauce was superb and the good amount of cheese on the pizza. One of the best i have eaten in this city.
Great find – What do they put in the sauce!?! It is incredible. My husband and I moved here from New York and tried about 10 pizza places that didn't stack up - then we found Lazaro's! I have also never tasted better jalepeno poppers. We always order for delivery, so I can't say much about the store. When we drive by, it just looks like a pizza counter with some stools for customers.
tasty morsel – The best in philadelphia, and I have tried most of the others on your list.
slices big enough for a meal – for just $2 you get a huge slice of plain pie. better than that other pizza place on south street that begins with an "L". skip right past 3rd street and head to 17th for the best pie.
Pitch by a loyal customer – Lazaro's has the best eggplant parm sandwiches. Great tangy sauce on the pizza. Good prices and good guys making the food. I just moved further away and they won't deliver to me that far south.
Great White Hope!!! – Incredible White Pie, Pies (AndBoxes) so Large that the Leftovers don't fit in the fridge. Garlicky and very thin crust. Excellent with prompt delivery in Center City
