I've eaten better at Papa John's – Perhaps some of the worst pizza ever! I am no foody, but the pizza at this place is awful. The sauce is so thick it is like eating dehydrated tomatoes. It also has a slightly spicy flavor that can only be attributed to over seasoning with garlic & oregano. The only question is what foul taste are they trying to cover up on a pizza that requires so much seasoning? no thanks – ETA 1/31/2009: Hey, to the people who think that anyone with a not-so-positive review of this restaurant means that they must be from the west coast or whatever....I am from Philly, grew up here. Had plenty of NY pizza in my life. Have an Italian relative (through marriage) who taught me what a real Neapolitan pizza is. I have had a lot of pizza in my life, coast to coast, and I know what authentic, thin crust pizza is supposed to taste like. This is simply not it for me...sorry. Best pizza! – I'm going to miss Lazaros when I move! The pizza is the best and the best value. If you love sauce like I do, ask for extra sauce...it's sooo good. I've had a few other things off the menu but they were pretty average, good, but average.
what a great salad!! – well, the chicken caesar salad is the best, tasty grilled chicken breasts with a garlic knots, so great so healthy, and let me tell you about the guys, they're so nice and so clean, definatly the best . so you should try that salad !!
That's a spicy meatball! – GREAT food. Best cheese steaks around, and they deliver! Onion rings are incredible, and the pizza is delicious. Even the delivery guys are nice. I HIGHLY recommend.
What a HUUUGE SLICE !! – I live in NY & I've never seen such a huge slice like that. I first say: "Well let's try the taste" .. it was so delicious and made by the right highly experienced guys .. they're an excelent team, well organized and specially clean. May GOD bless them.
Look No Further – Great tasting pizza with amazing sauce huge slices. I also really like their wings huge as well. If you're really hungry, order the Jumbo size it comes in 2 boxes. I've lived in several places in and around Center City and they've always delivered. I've also lived in several other cities, including NYC, and its as good as any other.
AWESOME - CERTAINLY ONE OF THE BEST IN PHILLY – Great Pizza and even better CheeseSteaks......and the fries are great too. Good value for the price.
The best Pizza in Center City – I've been to lots of pizza joints, and this is the best one I've been to in Philadelphia. It's definately the best in Center City. Grab yourself a large pie (18"!) or get it delivered ($1 extra) and go to town, but don't overstuff yourself like I always do!
