Although my experience with the ER doctor, surgeon, and hospital staff in general was good, my experience in the waiting room was not. I had come directly from Go-Health Urgent care in New London with all the signs of acute appendicitis. I checked in at 3:40pm and waited 5 hours to be seen . I repeatedly asked for assistance to speed up the process but was told I had to wait my turn. I’m hoping the triage process in the future will change to accommodate acute suffering so no one else has to go through what I did.

Completely ignored my mother who needed help. She was sent from immediate care because they knew she needed help and all the er did was lie to her. They put her in a bed without admitting her and told her she would be getting tested when in reality they labeled her a drug addict and kept her there for over 8 hours until she “sobered up” and then kicked her out at 10pm without a ride home.
