After, the only session with me, she said that she caught me in a lie. HOW can she know I was lying? Also, she said that I insulted her (HER problem with interpretation) when I was confused by her question and stated why I responded the way I did. Finally, when I spoke about the acceptance of hitting children in the 1950,s( remember the school principals hitting your hands with a ruler), she wrote that I was beaten by my father!!!! Overall, I found her narcissistic in her beliefs

After I told her I used drugs when I was 15 (I'm 23 now) she refused to take me as a patient unless I returned after 1 year of rehab which is ridiculous. She didn't even suggest other therapists/psychiatrists I could try. She even had the audacity to expect payment for her nonexistent services. On top of all that she didn't take insurance. I left more upset and disheartened then when I got there.

Dr. Dabney is quite caring, very knowledgeable and is very accessible to her patients, understanding that her patients may need assistance after office hours. I appreciate that she wants to spend time discovering the why behind the presenting problems and not just write a prescription to cover up the problem.
