Laura Dabney is contracted through QTC and Veterans Affairs to conduct psych evals for VA compensation. She is quick to remind you that any decision to be made on that is done through a facility in Richmond and she has no skin in the game- with the most condescending and clipped tone. I seen Dr Dabney this past Friday for C&P exam. Ms Davne worked with me when it came to scheduling my appointment. She also help me be able to talk about things I have not talked about in years. I don't know what is going to happen. With this c&p exam. All I know is she cares about patients and the Veteran's. Thank you again Dr. Dabney

Don't really leave reviews often but wanted to just pass along that this team is great and I've experienced wonderful progress in my coaching and therapy experiences with Dr. Dabney and Joelle. They are very attentive and the staff is so prompt and communicative whenever I need to contact the office about anything. The sessions themselves are very insightful. Kind of uncomfortable at times, but that's growth and change for you, so I'm told.

I came to Dr. Dabney for a psychiatric evaluation which was required by a job I was applying for. I have no complaints. Communication leading up to the appointment was great. Staff was kind and attentive. The doctor was very kind and professional and I had no reason to doubt her empathy, intent or abilities. Her report was very thorough and turn-around was about two weeks which was within the expected timeframe.

I went to see Dr Dabney for a C &P exam for the VA. She really is what the reviews depict about her. She was kind, sincere and one of a kind. I really appreciate the time I spent with her. The staff was awesome too.

I’m a veteran. I showed up for my disability interview under extreme stress and filled with anxiety. Dr. Dabney’s interview mannerisms quickly calmed me down so that I could continue. She was solely focused on me the entire interview. When I would stray Dr. Dabney calmly pulled me back onto topic. Count yourself lucky if you are assigned to Dr. Dabney for VA care. The staff was amazing. Provided immediate responses to all my questions both before and after the interview.

I saw Dr. Dabney for an initial visit and also to discuss medications. We talked about a lot of different things and she was able to point out a lot of habits/behaviors I could not see in myself. She was honest enough to tell me that she did not think I needed medication right away and that we could try therapy or coaching first. I liked that I was not just being prescribed something.

If LHI makes an appointment with her for your VA claim. PLEASE RESCHEDULE! She does NOT take care of Veterans! She does NOT honor LHI company’s core values of integrity, compassion, relationships, and performance.

I met with Dr. Laura Dabney for a VA claim appt in Oct 2021. The meeting only lasted ~25 mins and I was extremely dissatisfied. She made me feel very uncomfortable like she did not want to be there and rushed through the questions with an extreme lack of empathy. I HIGHLY advise anyone to immediately reschedule with another provider if you find yourself unlucky enough to be on her schedule.
