I've been fishing for a long time, I've had a couple rods break on me. G.Loomis was very good about their lifetime warranty, they sent me a new one right away. But while I was fishing salmon and in the mist of a good fight my Lamiglas XMG rod broke on me. This is a $400 rod and when I sent it in. These guys said I hit the rod on something and made the rod weak and so that's why it broke when i was bringing the fish in. Yeah right! I've never hit anything with my rod. So far so good for a 10 years old fly rod ... XT905
Customer service is lacking with this company! I sent my TI Titanium rod in for warranty replacement after breaking it while fishing on the headwaters of the Salmon river. The only answer they had for me was to buy a new rod with a discount. Why would I do that? So it will break again and be told to just buy a new rod, again? Not to mention it took several phone calls just to get that answer.
Aways used to use lamiglas rods. Broke one on a pink salmon after fishing for only a couple hours. Sent it in and after a month they said they can't locate it. I have called no less than 6 times and every time they told me they will get back to me. It's been 2 weeks since ive talked with them. From now on its Berkeley. At least they will talk to me.
