Dr Sajida Matloob put me on a CTO (forced injections) and completely destroyed my life. I've only recently been taken off the forced injections (after 1 year) but I don't know if I'll ever recover
Assessment team amazing, could not have done more to help, the nurses & dr in assessment deserve a medal. The team in kestrel ward not great at all, in fact terrible. No form of therapy/ treatment. The patient is fed , drugged & kept off the streets, that’s it , no real care for the patient & trying to find a diagnosis or thoughts for families who have to pick up the pieces once released with exactly the same issues they went in with. Not a very nice place to be. Some staff were compassionate some staff weren’t. I have to give a special praise to minaj and Marcia two members of staff who made my stay pleasant. Very dedicated and passionate about their job Sauliat.
My son was admitted to lakeside psychiatric hospital, I was very concerned due to poor reviews, I have spent many hours at the facility during my visits, I have found the facility to offer a comforting and respectable environment to patients who are experiencing a difficult time in their lives. Even though I would go to visit my son I would observe how other patients were treated and witnessed great respect even towards patients who were obviously difficult and at times rude. I was an impatient at lakeside Kestral ward in august 2024. I admitted myself to get the help I was in serious need for. At first 90% of the day and night staff were absolutely fantastic towards myself. BUT there were a few staff members who treated a few patients with obvious serious physical and mental health issues they had no patience for and treated them in a very aggressive way.
