I spent 6 hours in the parking lot here last week Friday waiting for my dog to be diagnosed. They said they’d have results Mondayish on what was wrong with dog. Spent $650 on this trip. They gave him an antibiotic to treat the suspected infection until results came back. I didn’t get results until Friday night. A new antibiotic prescription was needed to treat the resistant infection. Doctor called it into Sam’s club pharmacy so I went to go get it. Sam’s wasn’t even able to order the prescription. So I call the vet back and... read more

If a human was hit by a car there is no possible way a hospital would wait to do surgery until the family comes up with 11 grand on the spot...what in the world makes these people think it's okay do to it to an innocent dog suffering after being hit by a car?! DON'T EVER BRING YOUR FURRY LOVED ONES HERE. They will rob you leaving you with NOTHING but a dead animal because they're greedy and don't give a crap about your animals, only money!!!

Had a horrible experience here in July with our dog, which resulted in her no longer being with us. Will never bring another pet here

During a very tough time with our sweet Coop Lakeshore was there each step of the way. The cardiology department was amazing and the front desk staff along with Lisa (our vet tech) did everything they could for us. After his passing Lakeshore made sure their work didn’t stop there. They sent cards and checked on my wife any I while we navigated the loss of of sweet boy. I am FOREVER greatful for everything they did for Cooper and for us!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I waited for 5 hours at this place when they told me to stay in the parking lot. At hour 2 I called and they said it shouldn’t be much longer and my pet was 3rd in line. At hour 3 I called again and they said they were going to go check on my pet and then left me on hold for a half hour before I decided to just walk in to get an answer for myself. They didn’t let me in and sent out one of their client care specialists named John. Let me just tell you he was the ONLY person at that place that seemed to g... read more

Business response:

Hannah, Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize that you had a longer than expected wait at Lakeshore. As our hospital manager mentioned, pets are seen based on the severity of their presenting condition. The most serious cases are given priority over more stable patients, which can frustrate those who have been waiting a long time. Also, the increased caseload from the current pandemic combined with a national shortage of ER veterinarians has presented a challenge we never anticipated. Our emergency veterinary t... read more

I had to take my pup, Jada, in the other night due to excessive vomiting. I worked with Dr. Stinnett & several techs/assistants/receptionists - all of whom were absolutely wonderful. They asked very detailed questions & made sure to get her thorough history. It was a bit of a wait which was totally understandable because Jada was stable & some of the other emergencies weren’t. They have to triage patients, so it’s important to know you may be there awhile, especially if your dog is stable. But that made me 100% confident in ... read more
