Nice Park. Friendly staff. No issues with the park facilities. Stayed along the waters edge so all was well.
Water sites are the way to go, but obviously VERY hard to get into. Beautiful sunsets and decent hiking, but it's not a large park so not a lot of paths. They've added more space to some sites to make it easier to get in and out and new tables, fire pits, etc. Always love it there!!
Had fantastic weather this past weekend. Lots of hiking and caching. Great park!
We have stayed at Lake Livingston several times in the past they've upgrade parts of the park. We stayed in Hercules and the sites are far from each other. We enjoyed ourselves. Had no problem with mosquitos and it was hot.
The "swing set" is not impressive. We were not aloud to fish off the fishing pier for some reason. The observation tower was cool though. It's mostly a park for rv ers. The trails were ok but the walkway is crooked or uneven in most places. My kids had fun but overall not impressed especially since I had to pay $10 to get in.
