Have been going to Great Expressions Downtown for almost 3 years. There is rarely someone at the front desk, there is always a new Dentist every visit, and there is always some issue with how they ran my insurance. Went in for my 6 month check up May 2017 and was told I had 5 cavities that needed to be filled. The dentist at the time, Dr. Greer, did not stay to speak with me. I could sit here and bore you with all the details of my dealings with this business. Instead I will just say go elsewhere. Our dentist sold out to this practice. Before that, we never had appointments that were double booked. Before that, we never paid for regular work since our 2 insurance plans covered it. Before that, we were told if something would cost outside of our insurance. Before that, if I had a question about a bill, it was answered. Customer service? Ha. The office treats its patients like live stock. Their main concern is money . They refuse to provide treatment to repair services that were not correct the first time . 3 sets of crowns less than a year that fell out / broke . Kept suggesting services and things that were not needed . Staff is rude , unhelpful and not willingly to resolve issues in a timely manner. Doctor has no customer service skills . Pediatric's side never answers the phones. When Dr. Paschal cancels an appointment, the parents are not notified. Very unprofessional. The only thing that warrants a 1 star is the staff. The nurses are all so great, wonderful, sweet and helpful. That is the only thing they have going for them. Here was our experience: My 4 year old had sedation and filling scheduled. During my visit I was presented with an estimate of the costs for procedures that were recommended. The staff presented it with a confidence that these things were covered and that I would only be responsible for the copay. I paid the $100.00 co-pay but then a month later received a second bill for $177.00. When I followed up regarding the bill I was told not to worry, that they had submitted further documentation to the insurance company and that denials of this kind happened regularly. I had a terrible experience with this dental office. I went because I was having a slight issue in my tooth. They said I needed a crown. I did not have insurance, so I paid them out of pocket. After services rendered my tooth was very big. It was very uncomfortable. I went in for an adjustment twice, nothin helped. Dr Benton said my tooth was fine. It was not! She did my crown. RE: Great Expressions Dental Center, 5100 S Cleveland Ave #315, Ft Myers, FL 33907. I went in as a new patient for a routine exam and cleaning. They did x-rays first, then the dentist came in and spent a few minutes at most examining my teeth and gums. He said everything looked good, no cavities, but recommended a deep cleaning. I want to express my disappointment with Great Expressions in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. I made an appointment for my son. It took about a month to get in, which was fine. It was just a regular check up and cleaning. I left work early, picked up my son from school early and showed up 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. They FORGOT to call and say they needed to reschedule. THEY HAD ALMOST A FULL MONTH! Then, when I attempted to reschedule, they wouldn't even work with me on the time and date.
