We asked LAB Civils to repair our roof last year, at a cost of £4,600. Very soon after the work was finished we started noticing that the edging of the roof was peeling back. Someone came and repaired it, but the same has happened immediately. In addition we subsequently found that they’d done almost £2,500 of damage to windows which had only been fitted a few weeks before. The workmen were courteous and so polite. No problems initially James (the owner) came and gave me a quote, I dutifully paid the deposit. Did not hear anything unless I called the office. Eventually six weeks later work starts. James came and spoke to me half way through the job to get another £2000. I felt a bit held to ransom as they were halfway through the installation I wanted this work completed. Then I was told the price of materials has gone up 29% and could we help them, recover their costs. I respectfully declined ... read more
