Big disappointment – Food doesn't taste like authentic mexican food. I felt like I was eating at Chi chi's. Good atmosphere and bar area. I would not recommend coming here for the food. Find another mexican place. Eat here and I guarantee you will be disappointed. I felt that they were overpriced for what you get compared to other mexican restaurants.
DON'T GO THERE – Extra long wait cosidering the sevice and food! The drinks were weak, the food poor and the service was o.k. With all the Mexican restaurants, you'd do better trying someplace else!
Try someplace else! – After reading all the great reviews and extra long wait. we thought we found the perfect place. What a disappointment! Besides the long wait, the service was poor, drinks weak, food below average and no children's menu. It's Taco Bell next time!
Past it's prime – Loved La Fuente years ago, but is now too big for comfort. Wait often over an hour WITH RESERVATION, by the time you get to your table, you're too loaded to eat. Food isn't what it used to be, taste like reheated leftovers. Nice party place, but not where I want to go to eat anymore.
Awesome Place! – This is my favorite place to eat and enjoy the best and strongest margaritas in Milwaukee. I highly recommend splitting a pitcher of rainbow margaritas with a few good pals. La Fuente has a great outdoor patio to sit on warm summer nights, and it is also a wonderful restaurant to kick off a bachelorette party or other fun filled night. For my bachelorette party, we managed to ring up a tab of 150 dollars for margaritas alone! Thedrinks are a bit pricy, but the inexpensive food makes up for it. Well worth it!
Awesome!! – I come to this restaurant all the time. Margaritas are amazing. The food is better than you can ever expect. The atmosphere is fun. I have yet to find a better restaurant.
The BEST!!! – There are no better Margaritas... in Milwaukee, in Wisconsin, in the US, in the world, seriously! Every other place I have had one since La Fuente has always left me wishing it was a La Fuente Margarita... even in Mexico! It should be rated 10 out of 10 in margaritas and its a travesty that places like TGI Fridays has a higher margarita rating. As for food, some have said it isnt 'great'... Festive! – I used to come to this restaurant when it first opened next door to Rudy's Mexican Restuarant. At that time, we had the run of the restauant, it was great then and now even better. A great place to go with a group of people in the summer and sit out on the patio. You will not go wrong here. The shrimp soup is awesome!
Worth the Trip – La Fuente is my absolute favorite restaurant. I have been going there for years and I travel about 45 minutes to dine there about once a month. The margaritas are excellent - though don't try to drink more than two! The food and services are top notch! My friends have had many great memories at this restaurant!
