Overpriced and terrible food – Decided to try this (the Tosa location) in preference to Habernaros for change; big mistake!! I ordered the chicken tamales. The shells tasted like soggy cardboard and the chicken tasted and looked like it came out of a can, which it probably did. I ordered two of the three flavors and could not tell the difference by taste or by appearance. On top of that, the prices are the highest of any Mexican restaurant I have been to in Milwaukee. SERVICE CHARGE, cold, horrible – SERVICE FEE on the bill! Three of us dined with a bill of about $52, and then we noticed the $7 SERVICE FEE which we were told was for the "bus boys."!!! The steak tacos were like shards of overcooked meat, which tasted like days old meat and bland. The La Fuente Special was supposed to come with guacamole, instead we were charged $2.10. $2 each for soda. Chairs were like cafeteria chairs, which didn't seem to fit for the high prices. La Fuente Review - Wauwatosa – I was very disappointed to have waited my time and money at this place.... 1. The Margaritas were ok 2. Sodas are NOT refillable (bad service) 3. The salsa tasted like it was out of a jar 4. The food was not even all that 5. The atmosphere was TACKY 6. The "flautas" were a complete joke 7. This food is far from authentic! Worst Mexican Resturante in Milwaukee – Waitress told our table our food took so long because of my side of mole sauce. Funny thing was she forgot to bring me my mole sauce. The margaritas are no tasty at all and the food was just average. Do not wast your time here unless you can bring in your own food to their nice patio.

Good drinking environment; Fun atmosphere – I love after work drinking during the summer at this restaurant. The outdoor area is spacious. This is the Mexican restaurant where the suburbians come for Mexican. Food is just okay. Expect a social environment that is good for group dining.

Best In Town – Best mexican restaurant around. The food is excellent, waitstaff hustles, and the margaritas will knock you on your azz. Have a blast everytime I eat there. Mucho excellente!!!

Great atmosphere and margs - Very deceptive business practices – Great atmosphere. Very good margaritas. Food is average. As stated already, BEWARE OF THE AUTOMATIC SERVICE CHARGE (regardless of your party size)!! I have been going to La Fuentes for over 10 years. However, due to this very questionable business practice, I will no longer visit this establishment. Deceptive tipping policy – My husband and I have been frequenting La Fuente for over 12 years., before the numerous expansions. We go there at least once a week. It was our favorite Mexican restaurant. We have noticed a gradual decline in friendlyness,service, and food preparation. We have owned restaurants in other states, so , we know quite alot about the restaurant business. We think it is cheesey to charge for refills on soft drinks. It cost them about 10 cents.
