My partner and I arranged for Sam to come and assess the roof on a property we’re in the process of buying after he was recommended by a friend. We needed an urgent quote for repairs and at first he was very responsive. We agreed a day and time but were then informed by the sellers that he hadn’t shown up. We tried contacting him to find out what had happened and to see if we could rearrange but never heard back from him. Very disappointing and has set us back in our transaction.

We contacted Sam to fit a Sky light in our dining room. He was initially very responsive, however as soon as we paid the deposit on the glass window, the responses became less frequent. He kept delaying the fitting of the glass window with a new excuse each time. He finally fitted the glass window 4 weeks later. I asked for the receipt of the glass window he purchased and he still has not provided it. Sam carried out some work (2 separate jobs) for us which was generally of a high standard. And Sam and his co worker were punctual, friendly, clean, and efficient. A criticism I would have is that Sam could have been quicker to reply to a message, when some minor remediation work needed doing. But Sam has explained the situation was down to being inundated with work and enquires, and so my message accidentally got missed. We are all human.
