Dr. Seng botched a hamstring tendon reattachment procedure 2+ years ago. He told me he had performed the surgery before and it is clear that he had not. He did not use a graft though the retraction was very large and, as a result, he had to blindly cut a lot of tissue below the attachment point to get the necessary extension for reattachment. It failed immediately though I had to insist on an MRI. After competent revision surgery, I still have chronic pain, and I can't climb stairs or sit.
Dr. Seng reconstructed both of my ACLs. My left knee ACL was previously repaired by another physician using cadaver graft, which failed. Dr. Seng used my own hamstrings as graft to reconstruct the ligaments. His affable and modest demeanor really helped me through the aggravating recovery process associated with an ACL reconstruction. I am about 6 months out from my right knee repair, and I'm feeling great. If everything goes as planned, he says I should be able to hit the slopes this winter!
