I trust my vision to Dr. Pickey. I think he does a great job of recommending the right procedures for my eyes.
My husband and I were looking for a good eye dr. to take care of our eyes as we get older. We found the perfect dr. in Dr. Pikey. We have been to other doctors before and they only checked your eyes for glasses. Dr. Pikey did a complete eye checkup. He found my husband had higher pressure in his eyes. Each and every time we come he looks to make sure everything having to do with our eyes is ok and compares it to our last visit. I highly recommend him.
I have had Glucoma since I was in my late 30's. I have lived in different states with my husband being in the military. I have had Dr. Pikey taking care of my eyes for more than 10 years and would not trade him for anything. He takes time to explain things, and even chat for a minute. I love the staff everyone is friendly and seem happy. They will treat you like a guest. I recommend Dr. Pikey and Sabates eye center 100%
Dr. Pikey is a complete professionalist. Very easy to talk to and presents calming reasoning. A true " Top Gun" and has a wonderful SMILE!!! Thank you Dr. Pikey and my surgical experience with you was off the chart!!!

My left eye suddenly had an outline of an "arrowhead" moving to the outside of my eye. It had little asterick type flashes of light and kept coming right back when I shut my eye. Then the right eye started doing the same thing. I called Sabates Eye Center in Independence to see if I could be seen soon. I was given an appointment with Dr. Pikey that afternoon. Dr. Pikey was thorough and assured me that I had a Migraine in my eyes, and my eye would be fine. Thankful!!!
