On my first visit Dr. Pugar spent a lot time with me asking several perinate questions about the problems that I have experience. He performed some test, then explain what he thought what my problems could be, in a very clear explanation. He scheduled several tests by the staff at DCND, they were very professional and thorough. When My step son was rushed to Sycamore hospital with a seizure, It was so bad that we were not allowed to see him for over an hour. He was there for 3 or 4 days & Dr Udrea was his Dr. He ran all kinds of tests & decided he needed another test that had to be done at University of Cincinnati, so was taken by ambulance. There this test was done & it was very critical & saved his life. We made sure we got Dr Udrea as his Neurologist & we feel he is in excellent hands!!
I agree with another reviewer that this office should be able to schedule the next appointment while you are checking out. I don't care if they demand I call on the first of the month or not. I'm not going to call from work and if I get home late that's too bad. I call when I can. The office staff tries to be very bossy and demanding. I find it unprofessional that several of the girls chew in my ear and sigh as if irritated that I called. My dentist can schedule 6 months out but they can't
I've been a patient of Dr. Pugar's for more than 3 years now. He has always taken his time to listen and answered all of my questions so that I understand my treatment. He is always very kind. Other than having to schedule your appointment 3+ months out and the brusqueness of some of the front desk personnel - who are mostly just efficient, if lacking some kindness to their routine when dealing face-to-face or on the phone with patients - I don't have anything negative to say.
Dr. Pugar is wonderful. Although difficult to get an appointment, it’s because he is the best and worth waiting if able. He is patient and thorough. He wants to find the root problem and not simply keep a patient on medicine for the rest of their lives if it’s not necessary. He takes time to listen to the patient and recaps appointments at the end in front of the patient to makes sure all that they have discussed is accurate.
Kind, professional, and skilled in neurology. He answered my questions, and although the answers were not what I wanted to hear, I knew they were given with honesty and expertise.
I had my first contact/appointment with Dr. Pugar today. I was impressed with his professional approach, knowledge, efficiency, and initial evaluation of my physical issues. He is looking at my issues from a number of different angles and has clearly informed me of what the possible causes might be. We are in the process of scheduling a number of tests in order to get a clear understanding of my neurological issues. I left the office feeling confident that Dr. Pugar will resolve the issues.
Dr. Pugar was kind, listened well and made me feel at ease. He patiently answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend him!
My appointment with Dr. Pugar was my first experience with a neurologist. He took the time to explain (in layman's terms) both what he was doing during the examination and what he had observed. He asked me more than once if I had any questions or concerns, and then patiently and thoroughly responded. His bedside manner is exactly what a patient hopes for in a doctor, especially a neurologist. I left with complete confidence and trust that I had seen the right person.
