My dad has Alzheimer's. We saw Dr. Pugar once. He asked Dad all the questions they always ask dementia patients, talked into his recorder, said it was Alzheimer's, and then we never saw him again. Every visit after was with Sarah. All she did at each visit was track Dad's decline. There is no point in going to Pugar if the PCP can prescribe Aricept because Pugar knows the patient will not live so he just diagnoses the patient and walks away. I was very happy with Dr Pugar. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He took time to explain everything in a manner that helped my elderly aunt understand her medical situation. He cares.

I was referred to Dr. Pugar due to his expertise in MS. He took the time to explain the history of MS medications and therapies and gave his reasoning for why he was recommending a particular treatment for me. He answered all my questions patiently, and was clear in his plan and next steps. I felt very comfortable with him and would recommend him to friends and family.

On my first visit Dr. Pugar spent a lot time with me asking several perinate questions about the problems that I have experience. He performed some test, then explain what he thought what my problems could be, in a very clear explanation. He scheduled several tests by the staff at DCND, they were very professional and thorough. On the last appointment, Kristen summarized results and explained the diagnoses. I would recommend DCND to anyone with neurological pro

I agree with another reviewer that this office should be able to schedule the next appointment while you are checking out. I don't care if they demand I call on the first of the month or not. I'm not going to call from work and if I get home late that's too bad. I call when I can. The office staff tries to be very bossy and demanding. I find it unprofessional that several of the girls chew in my ear and sigh as if irritated that I called. My dentist can schedule 6 months out but they can't

I've been a patient of Dr. Pugar's for more than 3 years now. He has always taken his time to listen and answered all of my questions so that I understand my treatment. He is always very kind. Other than having to schedule your appointment 3+ months out and the brusqueness of some of the front desk personnel - who are mostly just efficient, if lacking some kindness to their routine when dealing face-to-face or on the phone with patients - I don't have anything negative to say.

Dr. Pugar is wonderful. Although difficult to get an appointment, it’s because he is the best and worth waiting if able. He is patient and thorough. He wants to find the root problem and not simply keep a patient on medicine for the rest of their lives if it’s not necessary. He takes time to listen to the patient and recaps appointments at the end in front of the patient to makes sure all that they have discussed is accurate.

Kind, professional, and skilled in neurology. He answered my questions, and although the answers were not what I wanted to hear, I knew they were given with honesty and expertise.
