I ended up switching doctors because I found Humm not to be appropriate for my care for two reasons: 1. She does not explain or inform. The current trends in healthcare is that a patient is actively involved in the process and decision making. I found Humm was not up to date on that. She seemed irritated by my questions. When I had a miscarriage, one of the options she suggested was to take the medicine to expel the tissue. Dr. Humm is an amazing physician, so much so that I followed her when she moved to Shady Grove Fertility practice. She is dedicated to her patients and is a creative thinker, which in IVF is essential since every case and every cycle can be different. She never gave up on us and thanks to her we have two boys. Throughout the six years I underwent treatments on and off, she took the time to always check on my well being and ensure I was mentally and physically ok. If only I had the option to give more stars than just 4. That is how exceptional Dr. Humm is. She is so kind, so patient and very clear and frank throughout the process. She explains everything so well for a layperson to understand easily which makes it easier on the patient to manage the situation while going through IVF. I am so glad I went through the IVF with her.
