Are you doing pictures with Santa this year?
Business response:
Yes, we are!
jump in a river of snot and drown.
My husband and I had to give up our dog a while back due to several reasons I stated when meeting with yall... Almost a month later and we are getting threatening messages stating that yall claimed that we beat the dog....that dog got nothing but love! We spent so.mich money and time on that dog and then yall try to accuse of that? If that is what yall thought why didn't you state it when I sat there with you for over an hour making sure you knew every little detail about her? I'm currently in my third trimester of pregnancy... read more
Business response:
We do not release adopter information to anyone, so no one would have been provided information from us to contact you. We do not harass our customers because we want them to feel comfortable bringing their animals to us if they are no longer able to care for them.
My family and I went to the humane society and decided to adopt a dog named Bruno. Bruno's profile mentioned that he grew up with another dog. We were told repeatedly that Bruno was aggressive with other dogs. However, while playing with Bruno, other dogs would walk by and he wasn't aggressive. We initially were told that a dog to dog meeting was not required then the Behavioral Specialist decided it was required. We had a family member drive an hour and a half to bring my other dog for the meeting. We were promised we could... read more

will not answer. I tried to get more info and no one is there. although they're open til 6:30pm... from what the police station animal control station says.
The "barn/working cat" promoted by KHS is nothing more than another scheme to keep every feral cat alive and allow them to go on killing native birds and wildlife. Why does the Kansas Humane Society place more value on the life of a non-native invasive domestic species than the lives of all of the native wildlife that species kills? How is that "humane"? Using cats for rodent control is no more environmentally friendly than tossing Decon out the back door. Non-target species are killed, and in huge numbers. Oh, besides the f... read more

Studies show that TNR and working cat programs are the most humane and effective way to stabilize feral and semi-feral cat overpopulation. https://www.alleycat.org/resources/why-trap-neuter-return-feral-cats-the-case-for-tnr/
Wonderful place. Everyone there is so caring and love the animals.
They were absolutely wonderful with the cremations of our 3 fur babies. Polo, Tibbi and Nina are all back together over the rainbow bridge. The sympathy shown, not only in the hand written note sending condolences, but with the staff that greet you when you come in. They don't rush you as you say your last goodbyes....and cry more tears....they just hand you more Kleenex and say, " I understand " . Thank you for what you're doing. You are all, making a difference .
