After today will not recommend anyone going to the Kansas Humane society to adopt an animal. My husband was in the process of paying for adoption when someone called and put the animal on hold as her was processing her. My understanding this is a common practice and I am utterly disappointed and disgusted. Yes, we have adopted from there before and this has never happened.
Called everyday to make arrangements to get our furbaby back and they put him up for adoption anyway, thankfully we were able to get him back before being chosen. Adoption specialist attitude was beyond rude today, especially with how cold she was telling us our dog didnt come with a collar and rabies tag and we would have to purchase a new one to take him home. We adopted Jaxson April 16, 2018 and since that time, we have completed two training classes with Courtney Street. She is a fabulous trainer and we have thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We love being part of the KHS family!
RecommendedI had to let go of some kittens there and they was super nice and now 2 out of the 5 have forever homes thanks to them :)
I bring my granddaughter several times a year just to play with and love on a dog and a cat or two dogs. The kennels are clean. The staff is very friendly. She just loves it so therefore I do too!
I adopted two little kittens the other day and they are just perfect. Staff helped tremendously and the facility was very clean and organized.
We had to put our family dog of 10 years down yesterday and the staff were very sensitive and caring. They called me to check on his microchip later in the day and reassured me that my Boogie was getting lots of love. Thanks for taking care of my guy.
I made a call to them.. Said I'm coming fromEl Dorado ,and it's almost 3.. If they still had Kaiser, and they did... We get there,and introduce our selfs.. We filled out the paperwork, and then we got to go outside,that had a 6 ft fence.. We played about 10 minutes, so we take him inside with us... Never knew I could love this dog so quick! They get a 10 in all areas! Fantastic people, and a very clean business! Thank all of you that cares about for babies!
