Very nice facility. Wonderful location, so close to the beach and our deck has a fabulous view of the beach and Santa Monica Pier. Good service, friendly staff. We have had good experiences with every single staff person. Had room service last night and the food was beautifully plated and very good. Great bed and deck.
The worst JW Marriott I ever stayed in. I am very realistic about the physical plant for a hotel on the beach,but the service was terrible. Housekeeping was non existent. Beds were surface made with the sheets still at the foot of the bed under the comforter. Had the ask for clean towels. No pool service. The spa was shabby. The review would have been much different if the service was good which is what they can control. Would not be my first choice.
I live about five blocks away in Santa Monica all of these places are overpriced and they charge you for everything it is completely ridiculous how much money they try and charge you and you have to walk around a mile to get to your room at least I did I only went there because it was my birthday Santa Monica has become too crowded
Nice place to stay !
Horrible restaurant service. Waited way to long for a table and even longer for a server. If you are goung to charge a $9 per day service fee it might be a good idea to apply that to the restaurant staff. The staff are moving as fast as they can utilize they are completely understaffed.
From the reception at the front desk to the room and experience. All around 5 stars, I travel every week and stay at Marriott properties as well as SPG. This time stayed in a double bed room. Bed was amazing and the bathroom great. Highly recommend it for anyone staying by the beach.
It was the poorest JW Marriott, but not for service, for the facility itself. The in-room coffee pots in 3 rooms didn't work properly, one of the phones in the room didn't work, I had to change rooms in the middle of the night when the ceiling started to trip, in the next room the toilet tank didn't always fill, the balcony door leaked, the carpet was always wet there.
