Room was really nice, service was good. Bed coverings were quite heavy (either a quilt or sheet nothing in between). Bathroom tile could have been cleaner looking (I think it was stained). I would stay there again, but hopefully they do something about the grout in the bathroom.

There is nothing not to like about the JW ! The rooms are spotless, the service the best! But the best part, this wonderful hotel is in our backyard. GR has fabulous food and drinks and the JW just makes it perfect !
Our 54th anniversary stay at the J. W. Marriott Grand Rapids was awesome. Beautiful view of the river, wonderful and friendly staff, clean and very comfortable room overlooking the river made our stay and celebration very special. Thanks...we will return!
The valet parking guys are the best and the scent in the building is great!
I go there just for the smells...seriously, this is the best smelling hotel ever! I was there for a meeting and while I waited in the business center area, an employee offered me a free bottle of water while I waited. The entire atmosphere of this place is magical. If only they had a juice bar inside 🤔(I own one...lol).
