This is why I love Marriott. It's 3am and my flight connecting through Dallas diverted to Austin due to weather, where we sat on the runway for 4 hours till the flight was cancelled. Thanks American but no La Quinta for me and off to JW Marriott where the sweet desk clerk listened to my sob story. Twenty minutes later I was surprised with a superb BLT, a box of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and a little basket of toiletries to tide me over. What an upscale, gorgeous hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there last weekend and highly recommend it! We also ate at The Corner and it was delicious. Perfect location downtown, rooftop pool...all superlative!
No accommodations for pumping/nursing moms at SXSW! How completely backwards! Conference goers, be forewarned: you'll be told to pump in the bathroom stall. Disgusting. For a full service hotel, this is just unacceptable. I've been a loyal and statused Marriott Rewards member for years and this is making me rethink my future hotel stays.
Had a good time, rooms were large enough and nicely maintained. Only complaint is valet gets backed up easily because people do not pull forward.
