Anti-gay bakery? Shame on Just Cookies!!! – This bakery refused to place an order by a group of gay students. Apparently having a rainbow on some cookies is obscene. What is obscene is the level of homophobia that goes on in the US in general, and the Midwest in particular. Such a behavior is unacceptable, and I am glad to see the gay community being mobilized against this sort of discrimination and homophobia.
Just Cookies? Just Terrible! – I went here a few weeks ago while I was on vacation. Terrible cookies! The cookies were burnt on the bottom and they tasted pretty dry. I decided to try some of the cookies my friend bought and they were equally terrible. As bad as the cookies were though, the service was worse! How this place stays in business I don't know. Don't be fooled -- it's not "Just Cookies" it's "Just Terrible".
Awesome Cookies – People who haven't been here shouldn't be commenting. They make awesome cookies, and they're friendly. Period.
So sad that homophobia still exists. To those of you who do not accept homosexuals in your lives I feel sorry for you. You are missing out on many great people. It's okay. I will accept your gay brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, children, friends, co-workers, leaders, teachers, husbands and wives. Remember, IT GETS BETTER!
Family Values – Thank you Dave & Lilly for standing up for your values. I highly repect you for what you have done. A small business owner has every right to employ their family Christian values and you have done so in a very respectful way. You were my first employer ever when I was in high school many years ago. I worked for you at the store at Eastgate Mall and would do it again with pride. Thank you! God bless you and your family! Jen
Just Cookies... – It is so sad to see this happen here in Indianapolis, where we have such a large gay population. Just Cookies may have been making the decision based on their morals, but where are their ethics? Is it right to discriminate? This business probably discriminates against gays with hiring as well.. I am very disappointed in what has happened and I am enthusiastic that the city is investigating. A “family run business”, he acts as if gays don't have families. This is not a heterosexual hate community posting the... read more
Thank you for your stand- we are praying for you! – Dear Just Cookies- My family and I stand behind you 100%. We think that you had the right to make that choice. Our church, Grace Assembly of God, also stands behind you. We must take a stand against this pressure the world sends to support sin. We will pray for your business to prosper. We will patronize your store, when we are able. May God continue to bless you in all that you do. Sincerely, Don Sanders & family
Buycott Go ahead boycott! I'll buycott! Ordering cookies from South Texas today! We are supposed to live in a free country where you can do business with whomever you please! Sick to death of politically correct dweebs telling me what I can and can't approve of! And "JESUS" condemned that lifestyle! Don't really care if the cookies are good or not! Kenneth Schustereit
Just Cookies – I live in South Carolina, would love to order cookies from you. Thank you so much for standing up for your beliefs This type of aggressive behaviour from these bullies is unacceptable. Stay strong and know there are so many out there who support you.
