Jriver is one of the best media centres. It handles album art better than any other music player. It also has the best support for differing formats of music, DSD up to 256 and 11.289 Mb/sec, MQA, DTS, FLAC etc. However, where is really shines lies in how much graphic card it needs to play high quality videos.
Started out with Jriver Media Center 17 and have loved it ever since. Now on Media Center 23 and enjoying it more than ever. Great sound quality. Easy to customize to my needs and on the very few times I have needed any help I have received excellent support.
This Media application is only for experts. I unfortunately bought the 23 MC and i am trying to stream to a Cambridge CXN and JRiver keeps crashing and crashing and there is nothing you Can do unless you are an expert. No telephone support either.
Perfect for big music collectors and Classical fans due to extremely customisable library and search. Player sounds great whether listening to Tchikovsky, Taylor Swift or Thunder. The ultimate in customisable Audiophilia.
