After 40 years of back pain that fluctuated, I sought help and was referred to Alvernia by an orthopedic MD. I also had friends that have undergone back surgery with him with successful outcomes. We exhausted conservative treatments without any relief. I didn't want to be "cut on" but ultimately had to. I am 6 weeks out of surgery and I am on the road to recovery.

I would recommend Dr. Alvernia for anyone that is having problems. He did my brain surgery and recovering well at this time. And he is not bad to look at!!

Dr. Alvernia is very professional, explained the procedure well, great bedside manner. His office staff is amazing. Had long wait times for appointments. Would have liked more details about specific restrictions during recovery.

Dr Alvernia was everything that we expected. after his first visit he went over what was needed to what it would take to fix the problem, He was very informative and explained all that was needed, He keep us up to date on the whole process. We are very please with the out come.

I started seeing Dr. Alvernia for back pain and severe leg for a couple of years. I tried physical therapy and pain injections that did not give me any relief. I/m 7 weeks postop and I'm already 65% better at this time from surgery. I love the staff!! Dr. Alvernia is a prefectionist and I would highly recommend a spine expert such as Dr. Alvernia and not a orthopedic specialist. He took his time and was available for any concerns that I had. Great doctor.

Dr. Alvernia is a very friendly and concerned doctor who REALLY CARES about his patients! He is very easy to talk to and took a lot of time talking with us before and after the surgery. We are so blessed to have had him do the surgery and could not be happier with the results. We highly recommend Dr. Alvernia to anyone who is seeking a caring and competent surgeon!

I highly recommend Dr. Alvernia. He did a 3 level cervical fusion on me in December 2020. I am healing great and feel that I received the best care possible right here in Monroe LA. I will recommend he and his staff to anyone needing his expertise. His staff is always friendly and caring . I am very pleased with his attention to detail, professionalism, compassion and after care follow up.

Dr. Alvernia performed mult-level spinal fusion. I was in severe pain before the surgery. My pain is gone since the surgery and I am gaining strength every day. I would highly recommend Dr. Alvernia and his staff. Jenelle is great.
