Dr Chikwe is the best Dr that I think I've ever seen and I'm old! You could actually feel she cared about you and took your health care very seriously! She instilled Hope which I haven't had before.I have a thoracic aneurysm and it is scary. I feel when I have my surgery it will be successful because of her knowledge, background and a Blessing as a Dr.
He was excellent
I saw Dr Chikwe for my mitral valve regurgitation specifically because I had read great reviews about her ability to listen to concerns and explain options. I couldn't agree more with those reviews. She was wonderful about discussing my health history, she asked pertinent questions about my lifestyle that many other doctors have ignored when considering my situation. Dr. Chikwe was very kind and caring. She explained in detail the issue of my Mitral Valve problem and the type of surgery she would perform to correct the problem. She also explained in detail the recovery process and answered the questions I had.
He was not my primary surgeon but part of the team and did well

I feel incredibly lucky to have had Dr.Chickwe and her team take care of me. Beside being superbly trained and highly skilled, Dr. Chickwe is kind, thorough, communicates exceptionally well and, importantly, has a comforting sense of humor. Her team radiates the same careful, caring attitude. My surgery and recovery has been, to me, nothing short of miraculous. I feel extremely fortunate to have had Dr. Chickwe as my surgeon.

I was diagnosed with ascending aortic aneurysm and bicuspid aortic aneurysm which would require open heart surgery. My cardiologist recommended I consult with the surgery department and that I make an appointment to see Dr. Chikwe. During our initial consultation with her and her Nurse Practitioner, Vivian Burkhart. Dr. Chikwe took her time and explained to me and my partner what would happen during the procedure and after. We can’t really say how Dr Chickwe is. We had seen her being interviewed many times on Heartvalvesurgery.com. So when my husband was diagnosed with needing mitral valve surgery with a very complicated case he wanted to pursue a minimally invasive or robotic solution so we reached out to Dr Chickwe’s office.
