CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, Thank you for another great summer! An Outer Banks tradition, John's has been a favorite with locals and vacationers since 1977! Serving Fresh Tuna and Fried Dolphin served with homemade tartar sauce or fresh made cocktail sauce. Also available many flavor of malt, fresh fruit milkshake and other tasty ice cream treats. John's gives free ice cream to dogs, horses, rabbits, skunks and any other type of pet that you would bring to John's would earn you a "puppy cup."

RecommendedIt’s not an official OBX vacation until we’ve been to John’s! I love the dolphin boat and a chocolate peanut butter milkshake! My husband keeps it classic with a burger and a vanilla milkshake. We both leave very full and happy!

Actually NO food service! Went at 4:30pm, lazy employees claimed large order and no food. Waste of time.
John's Drive-In has the freshest local seafood available on the beach and provides upscale dining quality food at prices even the most budget conscious folks can afford. I have been eating here for most of my life and most of John's life for that matter and have never been disappointed. If seafood isn't your thing try one of his incredible fresh ground daily angus burgers and don't forget the thickest milkshake on the beach! I ate there today and will be back again tomorrow.
