CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, Thank you for another great summer! An Outer Banks tradition, John's has been a favorite with locals and vacationers since 1977! Serving Fresh Tuna and Fried Dolphin served with homemade tartar sauce or fresh made cocktail sauce. Also available many flavor of malt, fresh fruit milkshake and other tasty ice cream treats. John's gives free ice cream to dogs, horses, rabbits, skunks and any other type of pet that you would bring to John's would earn you a "puppy cup."

DELISH!!! These soft shells are the best!
I’ve enjoyed John’s dolphin boats for the past 30 years. It’s my payday treat - when they’re open - and I can’t wait for opening day. I’ve heard everything there is great but I’m in love with the dolphin boat and have never tried anything else. The portion of big moist pieces with that amazing batter = perfection 🏻. Just had my first one (of many) this season and as usual it was delicious!
