CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, Thank you for another great summer! An Outer Banks tradition, John's has been a favorite with locals and vacationers since 1977! Serving Fresh Tuna and Fried Dolphin served with homemade tartar sauce or fresh made cocktail sauce. Also available many flavor of malt, fresh fruit milkshake and other tasty ice cream treats. John's gives free ice cream to dogs, horses, rabbits, skunks and any other type of pet that you would bring to John's would earn you a "puppy cup."

I've been eating at John's since I was a little kid and my all time favorites are a dolphin boat and a peanut butter shake. Everything is great there, but those are my faves.

We stopped to see what the fuss was all about and now we can see why our friends told us to stop and check it out. The food was amazing and John’s Drive In will be a must every OBX trip from here on out!
