CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, Thank you for another great summer! An Outer Banks tradition, John's has been a favorite with locals and vacationers since 1977! Serving Fresh Tuna and Fried Dolphin served with homemade tartar sauce or fresh made cocktail sauce. Also available many flavor of malt, fresh fruit milkshake and other tasty ice cream treats. John's gives free ice cream to dogs, horses, rabbits, skunks and any other type of pet that you would bring to John's would earn you a "puppy cup."

We have been huge fans of John's Drive In since they opened. As our family has grown, the new arrivals are just as crazy about John's as the.old folks! 4 generations of us wouldn't feel our vacation was complete without dolphin boats and popcorn shrimp from John's!

Came here in recommendation of a Cycling After 50, FB, group member! Crazy busy, short hours/high demand! Got the Dolphin Boat.... wonderful! Fish was very fresh and although deep fried, it wasn’t greasy. Chocolate shake was ahhhh, heaven! The wait was so worth it! Parking is, to saw the least, right!!!!
