CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, Thank you for another great summer! An Outer Banks tradition, John's has been a favorite with locals and vacationers since 1977! Serving Fresh Tuna and Fried Dolphin served with homemade tartar sauce or fresh made cocktail sauce. Also available many flavor of malt, fresh fruit milkshake and other tasty ice cream treats. John's gives free ice cream to dogs, horses, rabbits, skunks and any other type of pet that you would bring to John's would earn you a "puppy cup."

Consistently delicious, intentionally thought out to perfection, hard work, skill and years of expertise add up to making your taste buds smile every time. Order at the windows, take out or eat at the picnic tables on a sunny day. Whenever there’s a line, order, sit back and hang out til it’s ready; it’s always worth the wait.

John’s is an absolute MUST for us every trip! For as long as I can remember, we would always visit John’s. My dad’s grandfather built houses here in OBX, we spent a lot of time here when we were not in school. John’s is one of my fondest memories 😍. Best milkshakes and food on the beach!
