Dr Stokes was second opinion but will use him for procedure. No longer nervous as he spent much time with me covering MRI answers to all questions.including recovery.
Visited Dr Stokes and he sat down and next to me on the same couch and went over the results Myleogram that I had taken. I had gone from hiking at Reimers Ranch to , not being able to walk upright or at all and just the worst level of pain that anyone could imagine the kind of pain that That makes you faint or blackoutHe was very upfront about the percentages on this surgery and told me all the complications, etc. that it was complicated…. the last one was also a very complicated so that word didn’t bother me. I went to Dr Stokes after seeing 2 other doctors for the pain and numbness in my arm and hand. He immediately knew I had a pinched nerve and two herniated discs. I am now 6 months out from ACDF and never felt better. His staff is incredible. He is superb. I am so grateful.
Jamilla Stone is good doctor, however, she moves around a lot and you have to work with a call center who is clueless of who she is and where she's at. Horrible way to operate business. You'll never get her actual office. I do not recommend going through the hassle. Good doctor if you're successful at getting in after jumping through hoops and trying to locate her. Absolutely ridiculous!!!
Its important to not being treated like a laymen and never rushed. His PA was outstanding too.
Explained my medical condition and his proposed treatment. I was free of nerve pain within 12 hours after the operation. I was free of pain from the incision withinn 10 days after the operation. All turned out well
He listens, he evaluates, then he recommends.

My experience with Dr. Stokes was truly refreshing. He utilized an iPad to give me a full and complete understanding of my condition and the surgical options to treat my condition. I don’t think I have ever had a surgeon give me such a complete overview? His demeanor is relatable and possesses just the right amount of confidence that you need to see in a surgeon. Not arrogant but confident. I would highly recommend Dr. Stokes.
