Dr. Stokes, to coin a phrase, is the Rock Star of spine surgeons, professional, experienced and patient friendly. The one thing that has stood out to me is he will not operate unless all other options for treatment have been exhausted. I highly recommend Dr. Stokes!

Ashley Dr Stokes nurse was very friendly and informative! Dr Stokes went over everything and explained it all so I could understand exactly what’s gonna happen during surgery!

Dr. Stokes and his whole support staff are exceptional. He helped me 10 years ago and they clearly recognized me when I came to their office last week. The consultation was thorough, but not condescending. I already knew I needed another surgery - as my first surgery consult referred me back to stokes due to the location of this tumor. They scheduled it less than a week out. I’m confident he will provide me with the best possible outcome from this surgery.

Dr. Stokes did an exceptional job of explaining my condition in great detail. He had an app on an iPad that showed exactly how the spine is supposed to work and then compared to the MRI showing how mine was. He explained the options in detail and recommended that we start with physical therapy and explain why that was better for me at this time than surgery. I’m looking forward to my treatment.

Dr Stokes was second opinion but will use him for procedure. No longer nervous as he spent much time with me covering MRI answers to all questions.including recovery.

I went to Dr Stokes after seeing 2 other doctors for the pain and numbness in my arm and hand. He immediately knew I had a pinched nerve and two herniated discs. I am now 6 months out from ACDF and never felt better. His staff is incredible. He is superb. I am so grateful.

Explained my medical condition and his proposed treatment. I was free of nerve pain within 12 hours after the operation. I was free of pain from the incision withinn 10 days after the operation. All turned out well
