Absolutely criminal. State Farm's customer hit our car when we were not even in it, totaling our car. We had just bought the car for 34k+ and they came back with an offer of 28k stating that it is non negotiable. They are claiming that the comps in the area show the car as worth 28k cash. I cannot come anywhere near the same make and model for 28k. They said this process is non negotiable, I tried to escalate and the claim specialist stated that there is no one above her. She also claimed that they will start charging us for... read more

Curt M My vehicle was involved in a road hazard accident 2 weeks ago. My vehicle has been sitting at the auto repair shop (*** *****) for nearly 2 weeks and I'm still waiting for the claims adjuster to go visit the auto shop to inspect the damage. He keeps calling the auto shop and playing phone tag with the shop manager instead of VISITING the shop to inspect the vehicle. I've been driving a rental car for nearly 2 weeks now and although State Farm will reimburse me for 80% of the expenses, they are still costing me more mo... read more

File any homeowner’s insurance claim, State Farm drops you. What’s the point of having insurance if they drop their customers anytime they actually need to use what they are paying for? We have paid over $10,000 in insurance for our combined car/home insurance coverage to State Farm over the past decade, but one claim got us dropped from the homeowner’s policy. We have never filed any car insurance claim in the entire time of coverage. Now they won’t be getting any of our money ever again.

I was a customer for about twenty years and everything was ok until the minute I put in a claim for an accident where I was not at fault, the first one I had in many years. The insurance price doubled, this is outrageous, I will never recommend them. 1 star but they deserve -20.

We began a claim for our damaged roof in May. We were told there was only damage on one facing and that's all they would cover. Our contractor showed the adjuster that the majority of the roof is damaged and the shingles can not be matched. After many calls, not returned, and our contractor working with us and State Farm. It is now September and after having to call State Farm again, they have decided that the shingles can be matched and they will not cover anymore than what was originally quoted.

A few years ago I had a major water leak occur in my condo kitchen wall due to faulty pipes. We opened a claim and started repairs. I then had a second leak a couple of months later due to a contractor hitting a pipe in my kitchen, water spewed everywhere and caused a ton of additional damage. The contractor never reported this or used their own insurance for this, claiming it was the faulty pipes again, and pushed the additional damages under the same claim. I know nothing about insurance and didn't know what to do or when ... read more

Absolutely disgusting company! Had hail damage to our house. First, they would not cover damage to siding. Later, we found that windows were damaged causing leaks into our house. State Farm would not cover any of it. We have been loyal, paying, customers for almost 20 years, have not filed any significant claims in the 20 years with regards to house, and this is the kind of treatment you can expect. Won't cover you. Not a good neighbor. Just an absolutely disgusting customer service. I would not recommend them to my worst en... read more

We had wind damage to our roof in May of this year. State Farm and my contractor agreed that we did in fact have damage on all 5 slopes of our house. State Farm denied the claim because the cost to fix the roof was below our deductible. When my contractor attempted to fix the roof we found that the shingles were discontinued. We asked State Farm for a new roof since our attempt to repair would not match our existing shingles. State Farm offered "similar" shingles however these would still not match our existing shingles. We ... read more
